Ways AI can make sex better!

Look, for the most part, I'm not the biggest fan of AI in some of the ways it’s being used. From the theft of millions of artists, musicians and other creative people to the thought of scanned AI actors and voices becoming our entertainment. It's as creepy as the sickly sweet, odd-fingered Uncanny Valley-ness of AI "models", and let's not forget the ever-looming threat of intelligent robot overlords being crammed into our brains from science fiction over the years... Yeah, not a huge fan... 

BUT that's not all AI is. It can actually be an incredibly innovative, inventive, and necessary tool for so many aspects of life - while still keeping the human element alive. And sex is no different. 

Here are a few of my favourite ways AI can actually bring positivity and pleasure to your bedroom.

Sensory Sex

As we all know, sex really is a feast for all our senses, and some of those whizz-bang futuristic AI tech sex toys we've talked about have incorporated that idea in their products.

Smart vibrators that respond to music and voices and external beats will change the way you go out clubbing, or listen to your favourite tracks, or hear your partner's voice (or yours). Connecting music to lights or even personalised scent diffusers or heating and/or cooling devices can add a gorgeous layer of sensory stimulation that enhances pleasure and intimacy.

And even more exciting is research into the area of integrating AI with biometric data. Imagine a sex toy which can measure your body’s responses such as breathing or heart rate and adjust in real time to personalise your individual experience. And with the ability for AI to learn and adapt to your preferences it has the potential to bring your sexual satisfaction to a whole new level. 

Accessibility

Probably one of the best ways I think AI can be useful and positive in sex and sexual spaces is in creating experiences and opportunities for intimacy and sexual exploration for people who may otherwise be unable to access or utilise them. People with disabilities (either in relationships or not) who may face physical, social, or communication barriers when it comes to intimacy are really benefiting from "intelligent" sex toys and communication programs. Not only can they help provide inclusivity within sexual spaces, they are also fundamental in promoting empowerment among diverse communities.

Long Distance Intimacy

In these cool futuristic internet days we're living in, where we meet and connect with people from all over the world while sitting on the couch in our undies, it's not uncommon for people to be in long distance relationships. Similar to the accessibility factor, AI technology is there as your virtual wingman to make the distance feel a little closer for those partners living too far away to fuck. With whizz-bang innovations like synchronized vibrators connected to virtual reality experiences or interactive games and stories, you can bring old school "phone sex" into the glittery future too.

Personal Ideas and Tailored Spice

Wanting to plan the most perfect, utterly bespoke night of love and lust for your partner but kinda running out of ideas? Yes, you could go searching random blogs and advice columns for ideas (we have some great ones! Really!) but they can all be a bit generic sometimes. I know. I write them.  I try to be cool and fresh and inclusive and all of that stuff, but I don't know YOU. It can give you ideas of how to pleasure them. How to talk to them. Where to take them. It can be your ultimate wingman without taking anything away from you and your partner's intimacy. Plus it can customise erotica based on your likes and fantasies for your solo enjoyment. 

Overall I think we are incredibly blessed and privileged as a society to have the incredible technology we do. It has the potential to change our lives for the better in so many ways and for so many people. 

But we must always remember people first. Real, fleshy, sexy, squishy humans. That's where the real magic is.
