Top 5 Sex Positions for Straddling

Woman wearing sexy black lingerie straddling her partner on the bed

Getting a leg over, and riding away has never been so much fun... So let's move away from the horse puns and get right into it. Here are our sexpert's pick for the top five sex positions for straddling.

mastery

Mastery

This girl on top position is perfect for an intimate face to face experience with your partner. With him seated in a chair, or the edge of the bed or couch, she straddles his lap, her legs curled behind her in a kneel-sit, and her arms on his torso. It's a really great position for her to keep the pace and rhythm to her liking, and is also good for men who may have lower mobility or strength in their legs, as they really only need to use their arms to hold her and touch her as she rides.

lotus

Lotus

The lotus position is as beautiful as its namesake, with two bodies entwined in a closely wrapped embrace. He sits with his legs crossed and she sits and wraps her legs around him, stomach to stomach, chest to chest, face to face. For intimacy and connection this is a position for kissing and rocking and ultimate closeness.

cowgirl-reverse

Cowgirl Front and Reverse

An oldie but a goodie, the cowgirl positions always make it into the top five of favourite sex positions on almost any list. That's because it's an awesome position for both the rider and the ridee. It doesn't matter whether you like your cowgirls riding forward or reversed, with her straddling over him he's treated to a great view of boobs or butt, and she will have the luxury of controlling the depth and pace of the penetration.

scissor

Scissoring

Great for both lesbian couples and hetero couples, scissoring is a straddling position where each partner lies back and straddles the others thigh so their genitals are together. It's a fun position with both parties having equal control over the fun, gripping onto their lovers thighs and legs to push and grind together. It's really great for deep penetration and manual clitoral stimulation whether by her hand or yours.

splittingthebamboo

Splitting The Bamboo

A mixture of scissoring and missionary, splitting the bamboo is a deep penetrating position where she raises one leg up against his chest to his shoulder and he holds onto that leg, straddling the other and entering her deeply. He can use her raised leg as leverage for good hard thrusts and she can use one hand to play with her clitoris and the other to hold his leg for the traction to meet his thrusts.

Tip: when doing cowgirl front or reverse, make sure he puts a good pillow under his bottom so that it's raised. This will allow her to easier sit and have a much better penetration. He just needs to get used to having his bum raised, but both will be rewarded with his dick deeper inside and it won't slip out so easily when she's riding a bit rougher.
BTW this holds also true for the "normal" missionary position with a pillow under her bottom. Worth trying for more fun (for both)!
Some years back I happened to read this same tip also in a text written some 400 years ago.....
