Well, nearly a year ago I decided to join AMM and paid to be a Gold member - I had had a few glasses of vino and really was'nt sure what, if anything would happen. After a number of very friendly 'chats' and few very helpful seasoned AMM users, I finally mastered how to use this site. I updated my profile on a regular basis - at the start, I ticked "water sports" assuming it meant skiing or boats - needless to say I unchecked that box quick smart..lol I had a lot of responses and made sure that I replied to all, even if it was a touch too raunchy or even a little bit cheeky. Its just polite to let people know where they stand, and when you are on a channel that "almost anything goes" you really can't afford to have prudish opinions on life, sex and love. My fella didnt write a whole lot and didnt put up a picture, but we corresponded for a while and then I realised he didnt type so well and it was a real effort for him to use the comp. We exchanged mobile numbers and nervously chatted, it was then I realised what I had interpreted via the written words was lost in the translation! So, we have been together 6 months and have moved intogether ...the whole shebang...and its fantastic! So, I spend a lot of time showing my other single mates how this works and have a few hints that I'd like to share especially if you are looking for a partner -AMM - do I get commision??? 1) be as real as you can, sure the model photos look great, but how many of us really look like that all the time? Be responsible -this is'nt the dark ages - Internet dating is OK :-) 5) Pay to join - whatever membership you can afford and verify your profile. Lets face it, its so cheap compared to a Dating agency or a failed dinner and drinks. 6) Check your emails at least once a week, we all know how frustrating it is when you are waiting for a reply, so if you intend to dissapear, then hide your profile and save others thier valuable winks/messages for somebody who is keen. 7) Have fun and take a chance (look outside the square) . If you always do what you have always done, then you will always have what you have always got!
